2. Purpose of this seminar

To specify and materialize what kind of challenges we will face for the Decade of Education for Sustainable Development as well as international understanding education through discussions with practices taking place in various regions of the world by experts in the field of environmental education under the theme of environmental education for the sustainable future.

6. Venues

Sendai Information Industry Plaza, a community center housed in the AER Building, and Miyagi University of Education

7. Expected Participants

A total of 11 persons are expected to attend; representatives from China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, South Korea, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Fiji and UNESCO.

In addition, about 15 Japanese related to this seminar and 20 Japanese and non-Japanese general participants will be expected to join.
