Concepts and Plans of Environmental Education Center
Nature Education through Fieldwork

@We find great diversity in the approach to environmental education. It is difficult for us to ascertain how wide the range of issues the school system can cover. Regarding the subject of science that enables us to understand nature fundamentally, we should consider the problem of the difficult student who is discouraged by scientific study. The best way to give students a chance to take interest in science is to offer direct contact with our natural surroundings. Many discoveries and surprises stimulate curiosity and creativity.
@Whether in the natural environment or social environment, the structures are complicated and symbiotic relationships. To understand the structure, it is important for us to recognize the nature of this interaction or interdependency. By doing fieldwork, we can also obtain knowledge that can advance classroom initiatives. Through class activities, we can directly apply things we perceive in the outdoors to the words we use and textbook knowledge. Such feedback brings us greater sensitivity and understanding.
An experienced leader with both field experience and knowledge to incorporate the lessons of nature fieldwork can most successfully use this method. Hence the experts support is essential. Thus the center should train students to become successful fieldwork leaders.
