Common laboratory for Fieldwork (FW lab), the division of Field Research of Environmental Education holds investigation for the habits of living things, especially Nihonzaru -Japanese Monkeys- in Mt. Hakusan, Ishikawa Prefecture every year at the end of February for ten days in cooperation with researchers there. By doing such activities, students will reaffirm the results of fieldwork that they have done through a year particularly in Kinkazan island. This year, the investigation took place from February 21 to May 1 with one researcher of EEC, eight students of FW lab, two alumni of FW lab, and two researchers there in Ishikawa. Though there was unusually a little snow this year, they could study the structure and moving area of 24 banks of monkeys living on a steep slope. Moreover they could compare the results with former results. The result of their study is officially published in "Research Report of Ishikawa Prefectural Nature Conservation Center".
