| กก Miyagi Prefecture has advanced the area of environmental education. Hence we are discovering many of the problems that we currently face. We are now becoming more aware of the expectations for the center's functions as an institute of a college of education.
กก Environmental Education Center consists of 3 divisions such as, 'Fundamental Research of Environmental Education', 'Field Research of Environmental Education', and 'System Research of Environmental Education'.( 3 fulltime and 2 honorary researchers ) This center is the largest institute of environmental education which belongs to a college of education in Japan. This center functions as an academic institute and the center of environmental education for the local community.
In cooperation with the Board of Education of Sendai city and the Miyagi prefectural government, we invite members of the Board of Education as 'honorary staff'. We intend to implement environmental education in the school system.
Now we would like to introduce concrete plans of this center.
