Our project team aims to cultivate students who can understand environment alproblems and the relation between life and substance in natural environme nt. Toachieve this purpose, we are making teaching materials with the aid of computer simulation including animation about properties, interactions and c irculation of substances concerned with life.
¡û¡¡Utilization of Rice Field and Swampy Land around the Marsh KABUKURI for Environmental Education
¡û¡¡Construction of field museums for the local nature in Miyagi Prefecture¡¡(Phase 1): Rural hill in the northern Sendai area
The living field museum is one of the effective way to understand the natural environments in an area. Focusing the representative local natures in Miyagi Prefecture, this project is doing the following researches;
1) to collect and arrange the scientific data on the natural environments (geography, geology, climate, vegetation, fauna and flora),
2) to trace the transitional history of the environments changed by human activities,
3) to exhibit and utilize the scientific data for the teaching materials in school and life-long education,
In the first phase, this project treats of a rural hill in the northern Sendai area, where the natural environments have been rapidly changed by various land-developments.
